Summary of role:

Reporting to Your Doctor Film & Media’s Head of Front Desk the Group Receptionist (‘GR’) will provide the highest level of care and world-class service to our patients.

Key responsibilities:

  • Meeting and greeting patients and visitors, providing a great first impression
  • Maintaining privacy of patients, always assuring patient confidentiality and compliance with relevant data protection legislation
  • Taking payments (prior to and post consultation)
  • Managing referral letters - in and out
  • Processing prescriptions, faxing and emailing across to pharmacies
  • Dealing with web contact forms with appt/service enquires
  • Dealing with membership enquires via phone, email and following on from Dr Consults
  • Collecting patient information and adding registration forms to system
  • Coordinating swab management and drivers
  • Managing stock control

Experience and skills:

  • Self-motivated: Able to work well under pressure, unsupervised and using your own initiative
  • Excellent organisation and communications skills
  • First-class customer service skills
  • Empathetic and caring approach
  • Able to follow instructions and procedures

  • Excellent verbal and written skills: you should be able to draft clear, concise communications, adapting tone & style as appropriate
